Floodlights shone bright, the stands were full, the O-Zone teemed with excitement, and the Ola Mustang football team geared up, preparing for another tough match against the undefeated, Woodland Wolves.

Within the first few minutes of the game, Ola scored a touchdown, leaving the stadium speechless and excited for the game ahead.

“I love it. It’s great. They are doing really good, it’s really exciting,” Lily Howard, senior in the student section, said.

The game continued as Ola scored touchdown after touchdown, solidifying a lead over  Woodland. As the referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the first half, the Mustangs returned to the school building buzzing about their early lead. It then started to rain, and the student section quickly emptied. Parents pulled out their umbrellas and prepared for the wet game ahead of them.

“It’s a lot of fun. I mean, it started raining but other than that it has been great,” Madelyn Dodson, senior, said.

Ola returned to the field after the half and continued to dominate on both offense and defense. In the end, the Mustangs came out on top of the Wolves with a score of 30-6, making the Mustang’s 5-0, a new school record.
