Stressing about what to give your friends and family for Christmas? Running low on money for gifts? No worries. Below are six inexpensive DIYs for men and women that range from $1 to $11.

  1. Mini Candle+ quote

What you need:

  • Mini candle- $1
  • Ribbon- found at home
  • Colored paper- found at home

Write “Thank you for shining your light into my life.”

Total spent: $1

  1. Bible quote wooden plaque

What you need:

  • Wooden plaque- $3 at Michael’s
  • Bible pages- printed offline
  • Black, white, and blue paint- $1.50 at WalMart
  • Construction paper- found at home
  • Paint brushes- found at home

Paint the wooden plaque blue (or any color of your choice). Paint the quote “Delight yourself in the Lord & he will give you the desires of your” on the bible pages. Cut them out and glue to the wood. Cut out and glue a heart from construction paper to the board.

  1. Mug of Tea

What you need:

  • Assortment of tea bags- $2.50 at Kroger
  • Festive mug- $1 from Dollar General or Dollar Tree

Place the assorted tea bags in a festive mug.

  1. Sports candy jar

What you need:

  • Mini flower pot- $2 from Michael’s
  • Mini candy jar- $0.97 from Michael’s
  • Paint corresponding to favorite sports team- $0.50 per bottle at WalMart
  • Hot glue gun with hot glue- found at home

Paint sports slogan, such as “Roll Tide” or “Hook ‘Em Horns,” on the upside-down flower pot. Hot glue jar to flower pot.

Total spent: $3.47

  1. Hot cocoa snowman

What you need:

  • 3 mini jars- $2.97 at Michael’s
  • Black and orange paint- $1.00 at WalMart
  • Marshmallows- $0.88 at Kroger
    Peppermints- found at home
    Hot glue- found at home
    Ribbon- found at home

Place hot cocoa, marshmallows and peppermints in three separate jars. Hot glue the bottom of the jars to the top of another. Tie or hot glue a ribbon around the top of the middle jar. Paint on eyes, a nose and buttons.

  1. Reinbeer (reindeer rootbeer)

What you need:

  • Bottled rootbeer (or your choice of soda) in a crate- $3.38 for a 6 pack
  • Brown pipe cleaners- $2 at Michael’s
  • Googly eyes- $1 at Dollar Tree
  • Pack of red pom-poms- $1 at Michael’s
  • Hot glue gun- found at home

Glue brown pipe cleaners to the the top of the bottles to act as antlers. Glue two eyes and a red pom-pom for the nose.

Total spent: 7.38
