Character day kicked off the first day of homecoming’s 2016 spirit week from Oct. 24-30. The theme for homecoming week was destination unknown.

Character day is a spirit week tradition because of the enjoyment and positivity it invokes.

On Monday, students and administrators had the opportunity to dress up as their favorite characters or just have fun with costumes. These costumes ranged from well known characters to clever plays on words and ideas.

Many students dressed up as a group to depict a whole cast of their favorite characters like the three blind mice and the cast of Monsters Inc. Other students chose individual personalities to characterize like Colonel Sanders and Winnie the Pooh.

The teachers in the math department picked their favorite emoji to dress up as to show their  signature moods.
